ANN MARIE HODGE, age 89, of Smyrna died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at home. She was a native of Silver Point, Tn. and was the daughter of the late Reuben Lon & Minnie Jones Pullum. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, William Lytle Hodge; daughter Jenny Hodge Sanders and her husband, Barry Sanders of Smyrna; grandchildren, Ashley Sanders & Abby Grace Sanders; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday at Smyrna First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gayle Turner Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 2-7 pm Friday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Mrs. Hodge was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Kedron United Methodist Church where she was active with the Youth. She was a former employee of Washington Manufacturing Company, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sam Davis Chapter and the Smyrna Senior Citizens. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Hodge may be made to the Ann Marie Hodge Scholarship Fund at Community Christian Day School, 105 Hodge Street, Smyrna, Tennessee 37167. Active pallbearers will be Steve Steele, Donnie Steele, Steve Pullum, Don Pullum, Lonnie Williamson, Mark Blackwelder, Greg Hoff, Bill Mathis and Fred Burks. Honorary pallbearers will be Vickie Matheson, Nancy Bratcher, Linda Dollar, Dr. Peter Cobb, Men and Women of the Kedron United Methodist Church.
