Ann Pickle Smith Bowen, age 94, died January 28, 2015 at Adams Place. Mrs. Bowen was a native of Bedford County and was the daughter of the late Robert and Annie McCord Pickle. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Austin Smith and Charles Robert Bowen. Mrs. Bowen was a graduate of Shelbyville Central High School and attended MTSU. She was a member of Murfreesboro Woman's Club and the William Lytle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was retired from the Veteran's Hospital. Mrs. Bowen is survived by a sister, Frances Kemp and her husband Walter of Murfreesboro; step-daughters, Ann Davis and her husband Toby of Lowville, NY, Juanita Durham and her husband John of Danville, KY; three grandchildren, Logan Murphy, McKenzie Murphy, and Sydney Durham; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring of this year on a date to be announced. Rev. Bob Tuttle will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
