Amy Truett Fulmer

Amy Truett Fulmer, age 47, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Amy was preceded in death by her father, George Truett.

Amy was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend. She was a member of New Vision Baptist Church, and her faith was an important part of her life and on full display for all to see.

Amy had a heart for children and education. She was a teacher with Murfreesboro City Schools for more than 14 years, teaching at Scales Elementary, Overall Creek Elementary, and Bellwood Schools. Her years as an educator gave her the opportunity to love, encourage, and make a difference in the lives of countless students and families throughout the Murfreesboro community.

Above all, Amy loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Josh Fulmer; their three children, Isaac Fulmer, Georgia Fulmer, and Harrison Fulmer; her mother, Debbie Truett; her sister, Lisa Truett; and her brother, Jason Truett and his wife, Kerri; and her nephews Brayden and William Truett.

Visitation with the Fulmer family will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Amy will immediately follow at 12:00 noon at Belle Aire Baptist Church.

Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
