Obituary

Amelia Green Campbell, age 92, of Murfreesboro, TN died Friday, November 2, 2012. A native of Zalma, MO and a longtime resident of Kansas City, KS, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley Green and Stella Luella Dunn Green. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Dale Campbell and brother, Lowell Green. A graveside service will be at 4:00PM Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Megan Ritchie will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:30PM until 3:30 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her sister, Janet Green Davis; niece, Kathy Davis McMahan; nephew, James William Davis; four great nephews all of Murfreesboro and one great niece of LaVergne. Mrs. Campbell was of the Methodist faith. She attended South East Missouri State College and was in the Civil Air Patrol during World War II. In 1943 she had her solo flight and obtained her pilots license. She enjoyed knitting, painting, flower gardening and writing memoirs. She was a fabulous story teller and a very loving person. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
