Amanda "Mandi" D. Herring Council, age 34, of Shelbyville died Sunday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from injuries she received in an automobile accident. She was born in Murfreesboro, raised in Smyrna, attended Smyrna High School and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, James "Scooter" Council, Jr.; mother, Karen Sue Herring of Smyrna; a son Noah James Hamblin; two step-sons, Jacob Powell Council and Zachery Cain Council; two brothers, Michael Radtke of Glasgow, KY and Jason Herring of Kingston Springs; maternal grandmother, Virginia Ratcliff of Smyrna; an uncle, Franklin Ratcliff and her father in law James Council, Sr. both of Smyrna; several other loving family members and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00PM Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
