Alta Odelene Eldridge, age 87 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, February 16, 2017. She was a native of Lewisburg, TN and the daughter of the late Olie B. Miller and Mary P. Darnell Miller Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Harold Eldridge and a sister, Sarah Josephine Sanders.

Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her daughters, Saundra A. Ralston Payne, Ebbie M. Patterson Smith, and Brenda K. McGregor, all of Murfreesboro, grandchildren, Kerri Patterson Clark, Lisa McGregor Craig, Olie McGregor, and Jamie Smith Casteel, all of Murfreesboro, James "Jimbo" Ralston of Jacksonville, FL and Chris Ralston of Australia, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Eldridge was retired from Chromalox after 32 years and was a lady of the Moose Lodge #645 in Murfreesboro. She was active in St. Claire's Senior Citizen Groups and the Red Hat Society.
