Alma Herrod, age 99, of Christiana, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2019. A native of Christiana she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Laura Boyce Smotherman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Batey Herrod; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, John Herrod and his wife Sharon; daughter, Brenda Herrod Adams; grandchildren, Christy Hicks and her husband Mike and Melinda Adams; and great grandchildren, Chelsie and Hayden all of Christiana; sister, Christine White of Murfreesboro; along with many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Herrod was a member of Cresent Church of Christ. For many years she served as a cafeteria worker at Hobgood Elementry School.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Cresent Church of Christ. Brother Darryl Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday at the church at 1:00 p.m.
