ALMA TOOMBS CROCKETT, age 80, of Murfreesboro and formerly of Nashville, died August 6, 2011. Mrs. Crockett was a native of Earlington, KY, and daughter of the late Harold B. and Joanna Brown Toombs. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 5105 Charlotte Ave, Nashville with Father Philip Breen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mrs. Crockett is survived by her children Mary Jo Mitchell ( Kenneth), Murfreesboro, Rose Diamond (Rick), Nashville, Julie Galbreth (Bill), Smyrna, Nancy Donlon (Bill) Nashville, Elaine Hansom (Keith), Memphis, Steve Crockett (Terri), Smyrna, Mike Crockett, Murfreesboro, Jennifer Burns (Phillip), Murfreesboro, and Barbara Conrose (Chuck), Johns Creek, GA; grandchildren, Melissa Campbell (Jeremy), Katie Roney (Caleb), Laura Davis, Elaine Davis, Patrick Galbreth(Steve Ludwig), Emily Galbreth, Kevin Donlon, Brian Donlon, Allen Donlon, Mitchell Crockett, Christopher Crockett, Joseph Crockett, Steven Burns, Allison Burns, Charles Burns, and Christian Conrose; great granddaughter, Carmen Roney; a brother, Ralph Toombs(Mary), Escondido, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George David Crockett, Jr. and a son, George David Crockett, III. Mrs. Crockett was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a retired registered nurse at St. Thomas Hospital. Pallbearers will be, Bill Donlon, Bill Galbreth, Phillip Burns, Keith Hansom, Kenneth Mitchell, Patrick Galbreth, and Allen Donlon.
