Obituary

Allie B Hackney, age 100 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, March 5, 2026. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her husband,  Nathan G. Hackney; grandson, Jeff Schott; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Schott, Christian Schott; parents, Nodie Martin Barrett,  Nora Leahew Barrett; brothers, Oliver Eugene, Ray and Charles Barrett; sister, Mary Frances Blansett.

Mrs. Hackney was a member of Third Baptist Church and was the family matriarch. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Schott; grandchildren, Nate Schott and wife Nancy, Jennifer Ferrell and husband Joe, Allison Schott; great-grandchildren, Baker Schott, Zoe Schott, Max Schott, John Baron Schott, Allie Zielske and husband Matthew, Abigail Wyatt, Samuel Wyatt, Caroline and Nevaeh Schott; great-great grandchild, Rowan Matthew Zielske.

Visitation will be Monday, March 9th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Teb Batey to officiate. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Dean Sisk officiating. www.woodfinchapel.com
