REV. ALLEN BRUCE JOSLYN, JR., age 63 went home to be with his Savior and Lord on June 11, 2011. He was born to Allen, Sr and Emma Joslyn on July 12, 1947. Al, as he was referred to by his friends, came to know the Lord at the age of 27. He then spent 35 years preaching the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He now resides at the throne of the one he proclaimed for so many years. He is preceded in death by his father, Allen B. Joslyn, Sr; sister, Emily Straub; brother, Richard Dick Joslyn; and stepfather, J.C. Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Joslyn; mother, Emma Thomas; sons, Allen, III (Charisse), Matt (Kristy), and Ryan (Lia) Joslyn; stepchildren, Heather Lee, Trish Bull, and Mike (Jennifer) Kee. He has 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Doyle Sadler and Kevin Jennings will officiate. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to missions or mission work in his memory.
