Allen Dale Banta, age 75 of Smyrna, TN died Thursday, February 5, 2015. He was a native of Wetumpka, Oklahoma and a son of the late William Wright and Marie Sanderlin Banta. He was a member of Stewarts Creek church of Christ and retired from AT&T. Mr. Banta is survived by his wife of 45 years Nancy Osburn Banta; daughters, Sara Walker and her husband Allyn of Murfreesboro, TN and Kristen McHenry and her husband Brian of Lee's Summit, MO; grandchildren, Tyler, Madeline, and Caleb Aston, Clae and Kobi Walker, Emma, Hannah, and Maggie McHenry; sisters, Helen Sweda of Ada, OK and Leah Cox of Heavener, OK and a host of loving family and friends. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Banta will be 3:00pm Sunday at Stewarts Creek church of Christ. Visitation with the family will follow.
