Alice Johlke Swindell, age 85, formerly of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in Nashville. Mrs. Swindell was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the daughter of the late Heinrich and Ida Krause Johlke. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Charles Ray Swindell, who died in 2006. Funeral Services will be 11:00am Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Reverend Carl Wenck will officiate. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Swindell is survived by five sons; Gary (Hilda) Swindell of Mt. Juliet, Phillip Swindell of Murfreesboro, Daniel (Bridget) Swindell of Nashville, David (Natalie) Swindell of Knoxville, and Randy (Tralonnie) Swindell of Murfreesboro, one daughter; Lynn (Robert) Butler of Greenbriar, two sisters; Lydia Schiefelbein of Milwaukee, WI and Ester Bird of Seminole, FL,twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Swindell was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 2:00 until 6:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
