Mrs. Alice Piercey, age 92, formerly of Manchester, TN passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Piercey was born in Boatland, TN to the late Carson and Ora Wright Beaty. She retired from the state of Texas in vital statistics and was a member of Manchester First Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Piercey was proud to have been a calutron girl, basketball player, and competitive ballroom dancer.

Mrs. Piercey is survived by her daughter, Peggy Cobb of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Stacy Cobb Neal and her husband Scott of Hiram, GA, Kerry Anne Klimek and her husband Michael of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Kenneth Allen Cobb and his wife Karen of Corona, CA; sister, Sue Braswell and her husband Freddie of Nashville, TN; special double first cousin, Boyd Beatty of New Castle, IN; great-grandchildren, Noelle, Cody, Cassie, Micah, Matthew, Ava, Addison, and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Piercey, in 1973 and her son, Timothy Allen Piercey, in 1986.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Piercey.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:00am until 11:30am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:30am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
