Alex Hughes Tucker, age 26, of Murfreesboro, died Saturday June 1, 2013. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00AM at Fellowship United Methodist Church. Rev. Don Morris and Rev. Charles Welchance will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Tucker is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Jeanie Smith Tucker; brother, Hayden Tucker and wife Kim; sister, Mary Elizabeth Tucker all of Murfreesboro; daughter, Clara Lynn Tucker; former wife, Shyanne Coe both of Nashville; grandparents, Hugh and Beverly Smith of Murfreesboro; nephew, Braxton Tucker; aunts and uncles, Scott and Lydia Smith, Faye Tucker, Linda Travis, Joanne McGinnis and husband Joe, Patsy Heath, Connie Miles and husband Randy and many cousins and friends. He was a member of Fellowship United Methodist Church and a 2005 graduate of Christ Presbyterian Academy. Alex was an Eagle Scout and loved hiking and the outdoors. His gift of humor always made us laugh. He loved the beach, playing soccer and was a gifted fly fisherman. He served God in many ways, especially in his mission trips to Kenya and Indonesia. His keen intelligence manifested in his incredible ability as a writer. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and grandson. He will be forever cherished and forever missed. Judge Don Ash, Steve Johnson, Shyanne Coe, Mark Moore, Chris Bellenfant, and Hayden Tucker will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Support Center, Branches Recovery Center, and Divine Care Ministries % Dr. Rick Rogers, Administrator, (893-7420) in memory of Alex.
