Mr. Albert Forkum, age 87, of Smyrna, TN passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was born in Old Hickory, TN to the late Fate Lovell and Elva Mae Knight Forkum. Mr. Forkum was known as "Pete," "Buddy," or "Rooster" depending on who he was talking to. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over 20 years. Mr. Forkum retired as a truck driver from Yellow Freight.

Mr. Forkum is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Forkum; daughter, Misty Forkum of Smyrna; grandchildren, Adrien Forkum and his wife Ashley and Evan Forkum all of New Hampshire; great-grandson, Desmond; and sister, Norman Collins of Madison, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Forkum, and sisters, Reba Rush and Betty Fox.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, May 15, 2017 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 6:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will take place Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:0am at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN .
