Alan Kattau, age 81, of Smyrna, TN, died Monday, July 11, 2016. A native of Indianpolis, IN, he was the son of the late Herbert B. and Helen E. Twyman Kattau. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Lee T. Knapp who died in 2003.

Mr. Kattau is survived by his children, Karen Oglesby and her husband Eddie of Nashville, TN, Ginger Knapp of Smyrna, TN, Barb McDowell and her husband Roger of Northglen, CO, Steve Kattau of Littleton, CO, and Scott Kattau and his wife Christy of Bucyrus, KS; brother, Philip Kattau of Rockville, IN and Donna Mooty and her husband Fred of Hudson, FL; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kattau was a proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was a retired CPA and loved playing golf. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Nashville National Cemetery in Madison, TN.
