Mrs. Adelia Blondell Dorris, age 77, of Smyrna, TN passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017. She was born in Bonifay, FL to the late Frank and Agnes Josey. Mrs. Dorris was a bus driver and semi-truck driver for a number of years before being a greeter at the Smyrna WalMart. She attended Rutherford County Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dorris is survived by her children, Patsy Bumbalough and her husband Wayne of Lascassas, TN, Robin Thomas of Woodbury, TN, and Butch Dorris of Bradyville, TN; grandsons, Chris Arnold and his wife Becky, Greg Thomas, Stephen Thomas and Jacob Bumbalough; great-grandchildren, Harmony Thomas, Casey Crowe, Dalton Morton, and William Morton; sisters, Florell Jellison and her husband Harold and Ginny Oatman and her husband Ross; brothers, James Josey and his wife Melva, Harold Josey and his wife Linda, and Ronnie Josey and his wife Darlene; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends at Sherwood Forest who were like a second family to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Dorris; two sisters, Eva Cadenhead and Rita Strickland; and brother, Jerry Josey.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00pm at Rutherford County Baptist Church, 5742 Seminary Rd, Smyrna, TN 37167. A second celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00am at Airport Road Church of Christ, 2845 Airport Rd, Crestview, FL 32539.
